The Queens Hall, a truly unique venue
The Queens Hall was built in 1914 as a theatre and quickly became Queen of seaside entertainment on the North Somerset coast. At a time when Britain was preparing for the grim reality of the Great War, this was a place for fun and laughter, a precious escape from the daily grind. Music hall stars such as George Robey jostled with world famous ballet dancer Anna Pavlova for top billing. It was also the venue for Minehead’s first talkie films that were shown in 1930.
The Queens Hall is now converted to a seaside pub, restaurant & venue with a 27ft television screen, performance stage, green room, cocktail bar and nightclub.
